The Group is privately owned. Apax Partners owns 57%, Lloyd Dorfman is a 28% shareholder and Standard Chartered Bank owns 7%. The remaining shares are held by management. For the year ending 31/12/05 the Group’s turnover was £526m and its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization were £50m. Headquartered in London, the Group operates in over 30 countries and employs 6,000 people worldwide.

Most recently, Travelex's sponsorship focus on world beating teams, events and initiatives has been extended to incorporate a stable of brand ambassadors; a comprehensive program that features Jonny Wilkinson (Europe), John McEnroe (Americas) and both Adam Gilchrist & Brett Lee (Australasia). In 2008, Travelex is proud to be sponsoring the sixth consecutive year of Travelex £10 Tickets at the National Theatre.
